Downed power line closes Brevard Road

U.S. 64 in Laurel Park was closed in both directions because of a downed power line east of Davis Drive, the Henderson County sheriff's office said in an alert at 8:30 Friday night. The post advised motorists to use an alternative route and said there was no projected time for reopening.
