'Every Christmas Story Ever Told' opens Friday at Hendersonville Theatre

Christopher McLoughlin stars in 'Every Christmas Story Ever Told' along with Tate Albert and Victoria Lamberth.

Every Christmas Story Ever Told…(and then some!),  a fast, furious and slightly irreverent look at holiday classics and traditions, opens Friday night and plays through Dec. 17 at Hendersonville Theatre, 229 S. Washington St.

Instead of performing yet another production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, three intrepid actors decide to perform every Christmas story ever told — with a sprinkling of Christmas traditions from around the world, seasonal icons from ancient times to contemporary pop-culture, and every carol ever sung. This madcap romp devolves into a slightly irreverent look at all of our favorite beloved holiday classics, including It’s a Wonderful Life, The Nutcracker, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, A Charlie Brown Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Santy Claus and more.

Every Christmas Story Ever Told…(and then some!) is supported by A-American Electric, the Arts Council of Henderson County, the city of Hendersonville, Cleaning Machine Cleaning Management, the Community Foundation of Henderson County, Exceptional Papers Inc., the North Carolina Arts Council, Nora's off Main and WTZQ AM 1600-FM 95.3.

Every Christmas Story Ever Told is rated PG due to mild adult language and humor. Some material may be inappropriate for those who still believe in Santa Claus.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays. Running time is approximately 2 hours with a 15-minute intermission.
