Men's Club announces 'open discussion' of GOP leaders' sacking of executive committee

The Henderson County Republican Men's Club will host an "open discussion" of the actions of three leaders of the county Republican Party to sack precinct chairs from the party's executive committee, the club announced this week. The meeting is at 9 a.m. Saturday May 11, at the American Legion Post 77, 216 Fourth Avenue West.

"For those who are not familiar with the recent actions taken by the HCGOP, there was a motion to redefine the Plan of Organization," the Men's Club said. "This motion was soundly defeated at the HCGOP Convention. A special called meeting of the HCGOP Executive Committee was held on April 15. No one was allowed to speak and the revised Plan of Organization, was passed without representation to replace the recently defeated Plan of Organization. At the 11th District Convention NO ONE was allowed to speak. The Men's Club will take an active role in re-establishing the HCGOP Plan Of Organization to represent the precinct chairs, the Men's Club, the Women's Club and other key members of the executive committee."
