The Henderson County Board of Commissioners on Monday authorized a $38,000 property tax giveback for a company that is committing to invest $4.5 million in a factory upgrade and retain 114 employees at an average salary of $70,349.
The company, identified only by the code name Project Score, owns a manufacturing plant Henderson County that plans to improve manufacturing capabilities at its facility, the Partnership for Economic Development said.
The incentives over seven years would be at one-half the rate for the creation of new jobs. The first year’s tax break would add up to $9,697 based on the new investment and salary and benefits minimums while the total incentives over seven years would total $38,097.
