Books for Good, an all-volunteer nonprofit in Fletcher whose sales benefit donor-specified charities, will be giving away several $50 store gift cards to celebrate its 10th year in operation.
In addition, several of its charities will receive bonuses.
Established in 2013, Books for Good opened its store the following year at 50 Heritage Park Drive behind the Subway on U.S. 25 at Butler Bridge Road. Since then, it has raised more than $337,000 for over 100 charities, most of which are local.
“There have been 107 volunteers who participated in the store’s operation over the past 10 years,” BFG founder Lynn Vorys said.
During the first three weeks of August, visitors can ask for a ticket (one per family per day) to enter the gift card drawing. The ticket number needs to be registered on the Books for Good website, www.booksforgood.net. Winners will be selected on Friday, Aug. 23.
Store hours are noon-5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
