Arts Council launches Helene support fund for artists

The Arts Council of Henderson County has launched the Helene Support Grant to provide much-needed financial relief to individual artists, performers and small arts-related businesses in Henderson County and Western North Carolina who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene.

This grant is being offered in response to the overwhelming needs of our creative community as we work together to rebuild after the devastation of the storm.

We understand how challenging this time has been, and we want to do our part to support those who need it most. This grant offers $400 to qualifying artists to help cover immediate needs, with priority going to those who were most impacted by the hurricane.

Please note, funds are limited, and we will continue to distribute grants as more donations come in. Grant details:

  • Amount: $400 in direct financial assistance to qualifying artists and small creative businesses
  • Application deadline: Nov. 20
  • Grant disbursement starts on Dec. 1
  • Who should apply? The grant is available to artists and creatives who have experienced loss due to Hurricane Helene, whether it's the loss of a studio, home, supplies or income.
