Public invited to see concepts for Patton pool, Whitmire Activity Center

Community members provide feedback on the rebuilding of Patton Pool and Whitmire Activity Center during a public input meeting on May 19.

The city of Hendersonville is inviting the public to share their ideas for the future of Patton Pool and the Whitmire Activity Center, both of which were badly damaged during Hurricane Helene.

The rec center and pool cannot reopen without major renovation or rebuilding. The Hendersonville City Council sees this as an opportunity to hear from the community, evaluate local needs and plan for something even better.

Two identical presentations of draft concepts will be made at 4 and 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, in Kaplan Auditorium at the Henderson County Public Library, 301 N. Washington St. The public will have an opportunity to comment on the proposals. To learn more visit hvlnc.gov/PattonWhitmire.
