The French Broad Valley Music Association will host the Hendersonville Hoedown, a fundraiser for JAM Kids of Henderson County, from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Sky Top Orchard on Pinnacle Mountain Road in Flat Rock.

The family friendly evening includes barbecue, mountain music by the Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM Kids), square dancing and a cake walk. JAM Kids director Carol Rifkin will also announce the two winners of the raffle for Earl Scruggs Festival tickets. All proceeds go to the JAM Kids program, which under Rifkin's leadership has grown to more than 50 young musicians. Buy event tickets here and  raffle tickets here.
