Caitlin Krisko and The Broadcast, a powerhouse soul rock band from Asheville, headlines the Rhythm & Brews concert downtown Thursday night.
Delivering a mix of soul rock arrangements with dashes of blues and pop, The Broadcast has shared stages with Mavis Staples, the late Charles Bradley, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Marcus King, The String Cheese Incident, Bettye Layette and Gregg Allman’s Buffalo Mountain Jam among others.
Opening act Hustle Souls blends retro-soul, brass band funk, and singer-songwriter Americana into a unique and captivating sound. Bursting with energy and spontaneity, the band features roaring B3 organ and jubilant brass, balanced with three-part vocal harmonies and a passion for songwriting.
The opening act kicks off the show at 5:30 p.m. followed by the headliner performance around 7:30. Doors open at 5:15 p.m.
The Hendersonville Honeycrisps and Hendersonville Toy Company Kid Zone provide kid-friendly fun, including hula-hooping, activities and games. The beer and wine garden features Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Bold Rock Hard Cider, Guidon Brewing Co., Oklawaha Brewing Co., Dry Falls Brewery, Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards and Flat Rock Cider Company.
The Rhythm & Brews concert season closes Oct. 16 with BonaFide Soul, playing jazz/funk/soul, and the Congdon Griffin Band, performing folk/Americana/rock.
