More than 40 vendors will line Maple Street during the Thanksgiving Market from 9 a.m. to 1p.m., offering seasonal, farm-fresh products and locally made artisan goods, according to a press release from the City of Hendersonville.
During the Nov. 22 market:
• Homemade Pasta Noodles will be hosting a Cookie Decorating Class from 11a.m. to 12:30 p.m., reservations at homemadepastanoodles.com.
• Santa will also be making a stop at Claywood from noon to 2 p.m., with savory hand pies, creamy mac & cheese, holiday cookies and ‘Grinch Juice.’
The second Holiday Market will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1p.m.
The Christmas Market and 7th Avenue Holiday Cookie Stroll on Dec. 6 will celebrate the season on 7th Avenue with a sweet stroll through the district, the city said.
During the Holiday Cookie Stroll, local businesses will be serving up tasty cookies and festive fun at stops throughout the 7th Avenue District. Visitors are then encouraged to explore more than 10 participating businesses and collect stamps (and cookies) along the way. Participants can turn in their completed passport for a chance to win great prizes.
Whether hunting for the perfect gift or stocking up for holiday meals, the Holiday Markets provide a lively and welcoming setting to support local makers and growers.
Hosted by Friends of Downtown Hendersonville, the two Holiday Markets will close out the farmers market 2025 season.
Hendersonville Farmers Market is a SNAP/EBT retailer and will match dollar-for-dollar any SNAP/EBT spending at the market. SNAP/EBT shoppers can swipe their EBT card at the information booth to retrieve tokens. The tokens can then be used as cash with individual vendors for eligible items, the city said.
The program is supported by local Farmers Market Sponsors, Friends of the Market, and Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project’s DUNCS Grant (Double Up North Carolina). The idea behind doubling SNAP dollars at the farmers' markets is that the incentives will attract more low-income shoppers and make their grocery dollars stretch further while simultaneously boosting the income of local farmers.
Hendersonville Farmers Market is presented by Pardee UNC Health Care. Additional support is provided by sponsors including: Wag! A Unique Pet Boutique, Laura Flores NextHome Realty, Osceola Lake Inn, Caroline Ericksen Real Estate, Mini Batch Bakery, HoneyBee Bliss Apiary, Duke Energy, Hendersonville, Community Coop, Zerorez of Asheville, Joyce Windows Sunrooms and Baths, Optimum, Printville and Discover Hometown Magazine.
Hendersonville Farmers Market is operated by the Friends of Downtown Hendersonville, a 501c3 nonprofit wing of the City of Hendersonville’s Community Development Department. For more information, visit hendersonvillefarmersmarket.com.
