Anti-child trafficking organization announces two-day town hall

An anti-child trafficking organization is planning a two-day town hall at Horse Shoe Farm next month to publicize solutions and actionable steps to protect children from trafficking.

"Focused on solutions, our speakers will share practical ideas, suggestions, and actionable steps to protect our children and combat this crisis," the organization, Awake & Bold, said in a news release. "The extent of child trafficking in America is no longer a myth—it's a pressing reality discussed in public forums, on social media and at dinner tables across the nation. Trafficking knows no boundaries, affecting children regardless of race, age, or socioeconomic status. Children across the U.S. and around the globe are at risk."

Speakers include:

  • Cathy O'Brien, a trafficking survivor, whistleblower, speaker and author (https://trance-formation.com/)
  • Juan O'Savin – Activist and Biblical historian
  • Jason Sisnernos – Child rescuer, CEO, author offering podcasts, workshops, motivational speeches and business consultant. (https://jasonsisneros.com/).
  • Emily Sisnernos, chair of Built to Exit & Canna Business Services, speaker & podcaster, volunteer child researcher and rescuer.
  • Mary Flynn O’Neill, executive director of America’s Future Inc.
  • Simone Anderson, podcaster focusing on the structures that rule our lives.
  • Joseph Torres- Retired police officer, dedicated to protecting children from trafficking.
  • Bryan Prather – Child rescuer, expert on trafficking (Vets4ChildRescue.org)
  • Linda Cherry- Survivor of childhood kidnapping and torture, online marketing expert and online child safety
