Registration is now open for Henderson County’s Republican Party convention, which will be held in March.
The convention and precinct meetings will be held on Saturday, March 28 at Apple Valley Middle School from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Gay Dillard, the North Carolina GOP Vice Chair, will be the special guest speaker at the convention. Local Republican incumbent elected officials and primary election winners are also expected to speak at the meeting, according to Henderson County’s Republican Party.
North Carolina state Sen. Tim Moffitt is the convention’s chairman.
Precinct meetings will precede the convention. During the precinct meetings, delegates and alternates to the convention are elected and those who attend indicate whether they have an interest in attending the District 11 Republican Convention and/or the state Republican Convention.
The convention is open to those who are registered to vote in Henderson County and have been registered as Republicans as of Jan. 31, 2026 or who will become 18 years old within 30 days prior to the convention or can prove that he or she moved into Henderson County within 30 days prior to the convention.
Online registration is available before March 28 by visiting hcgopnc.org. Online registration costs $15 and a lunch is available for $10. Registration at the event is $20.
