NWS issues red flag warning for Saturday

Gusty winds and low humidity add up to a broad red flag warning against outdoor burning Saturday, Henderson County emergency managers and the National Weather Service warned.

The conditions "will lead to critical fire weather conditions on Saturday," the NWS said. The red flag warning is in effect from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Although low relative humidity returns Sunday, winds are expected to be lighter.

The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high near 59 and wind gusts as high as 39 mph. Saturday night lows could dip down to 32 followed by a high Sunday near 60. Highs are expected to reach 70 on Monday and 74 on Tuesday.
