One dead in shooting at Dana Park

A shooting victim was found dead of wounds on Monday night when Henderson County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a shooting at Dana Community Park.

Responding to an emergency call at 11:26 p.m., deputies located the victim who later succumbed to injuries. Investigators believe that there was no immediate threat to the public. The incident remains an active investigation.
