The Mother’s Day Market at Historic Johnson Farm features jewelry, ceramics, leather items, wooden décor, baked goods and more.
Historic Johnson Farm will host its fifth annual Mother’s Day Market 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 9, rain or shine.
The outdoor craft fair showcasing more than 25 local vendors features jewelry, ceramics, leather items, wooden décor, baked goods and more.
Hot dogs (donated by Hot Dog World), chips and drinks will be available for purchase to support the farm’s operating fund. Johnson Farm gardeners will sell plants and farm logo items such as mugs and magnets. The Heritage Weavers & Fiber Artists gift shop will sell fiber gifts. The historic farmhouse will be open for self-guided tours, and people can visit the farm’s donkeys and goats.
Parking will be available across the road at Rugby Middle School; volunteers from the sheriff’s VIP program will help visitors cross the road. Handicapped parking is available at the farm.
Located at 3346 Haywood Road, Historic Johnson Farm features 15 acres of forest, fields and streams, 10 historic structures, animals and picnic tables. The farm was a gift to schoolchildren and the community by the late Vernon and Leander Johnson.
