Summer Flynn
Summer Flynn, the newly named manager of the Saluda Grade Trail, will be guest speaker at Train Tales, a free monthly event at the Saluda Depot Museum, at 7 p.m. Friday, May 15. Anyone interested in updated information on the Saluda Grade Trail is invited to attend.
With a career rooted in communications and community outreach, Flynn brings a distinctive blend of professional experience and local investment to the role. She began her career in the public library before advancing into executive communications for a global company.
Her connection to Saluda is deeply personal as well. Before taking on trail advocacy, she served on the project's advisory committee, participating in an extensive planning process to develop a shared community vision for the trail. That experience gave her a firsthand understanding of the project's complexity and its extraordinary potential. She has also been an active civic voice in the region, serving on Polk County's Planning Board, Library Board of Trustees and Tourism Development Authority.
