A $30 billion farm bill adopted by the House this week contains a $1.5 million appropriation to Henderson County EMS for the construction of a new EMS station in Henderson County, U.S. Rep. Chuck Edwards announced.
The House voted 213 to 210 to pass the bill to fund Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and other agencies. Other appropriations in the 11th Congressional District included $2 million to Balsam Grove Volunteer Rescue for the construction of a new fire station and $3 million to Mitchell County for the construction and development of the Resiliency Hub to strengthen disaster preparedness, response and long-term recovery.
