HMS Bearcats continue athletics dominance

The HMS Bearcats basketball players and cheerleaders celebrate after the team won the Blue Ridge Conference championship and finished the season undefeated.

The Hendersonville Middle School Bearcats won the Blue Ridge conference basketball championship on Thursday night, beating Canton 37-32, to cap an undefeated season.

The victory followed the Bearcat football squad's undefeated season and conference championship, the first time in memory that HMS had swept all their rivals and won a conference title in both sports.
