City shred day is Friday

The city of Hendersonville will sponsor a secure Shred Day for city residents on Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., in the parking lot of Patton Park, 59 E. Clairmont Drive. An added feature is a partnership with the Storehouse and a request for donations of food for the needy.

American Security Shredding Inc. will have its shredding truck in the parking lot to allow residents to dispose of sensitive materials. Hendersonville residents are invited to bring up to two boxes (or 50 pounds) of paper items to be shredded. This is not for businesses.
The city asked residents to bring nonperishable items to donate to the Storehouse and IAM. Suggested items are canned fruits and vegetables, canned chili and beef stew and toiletry items. For more information, contact Lu Ann Welter, City Planning, 828-697-3088 or lwelter@cityofhendersonville.org.
