Apprentices to perform 'Music of the Movies'

Flat Rock Playhouse, in conjunction with Studio 52, presents this year’s Apprentice Showcase Music on the Rock Jr.: The Music of the Movies for one night only on Sunday.

Music on the Rock Jr.: The Music of the Movies is jam-packed all-time favorites such as “Over the Rainbow,” “Stayin’ Alive” and “Let it Go!”
The 2016 Flat Rock Playhouse Apprentice Company is made up of 16 young actors who were featured in Chase Brock’s The Music Man earlier in the summer and are currently performing in n 9 to 5: The Musical. The performers are Caleb Albert, Zachary Bigelow, Anthony Bruno, Julian Burzynski, Sergio De La Espriella, Emily Fink, Nathan Fister, Iliana Garcia, Jared Goldsmith, Carli Hardon, Laurel Henning, Casey Klein, Renée La Schiazza, Resa Mishina, Kelley Norman and Lindsay Patton.

The show is directed by Apprentice Director Ethan Andersen, whose new musical Rootabaga Express has delighted audiences at the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site. Music of the Movies will be choreographed by Studio 52 instructor Madison Johnson, with guest choreography by Kory Geller of this summer’s The Music Man. Joining Andersen on the production team are the 2016 Flat Rock Playhouse interns Natalie Carney, Piper Clement, Sarah Giordano, Megan Lampron, Laura Scheving, Brendan Warner and Rachel Yanna. Dennis C. Maulden, Resident Scenic Designer, also serves as an Apprentice Administrator.
Tickets are $5 general admission.
