Now that's a Big Apple!

Mutsu is as big as Dillon Justice.

Stepp farm is known for apples. What about an apple as big as a baby's head?

"We're not New York City but we can claim the BIG apple at Stepp's Hillcrest Orchard in Hendersonville," the Edneyville growers said in an email to the Lightning. "We grow apples as big as babies."

It's true, from the looks of things.

The Mutsu apple weighing in at one pound 5 ounces. The baby is Dillon Justice, infant son of Donna and Jason Justice.

Twenty years from now, at the 90th annual North Carolina Apple Festival, maybe we'lll see Dillon selling apples on Main Street!
