Auditor appoints new county elections board chairs, ensuring GOP control

Sealing Republican takeover of local elections board in 100 counties across North Carolina, state Auditor Dave Boliek on Tuesday announced the appointment of chairs of county elections boards, which flip to Republican majority control. Appointed county chairs were Linda Rebuck in Henderson County, Glenda Weinert in Buncombe County, Ronald Woodworth in Polk County and James Cruickshank in Transylvania County.
