Recycling center open Friday, then closed until Dec. 27

The Henderson County recycling center and transfer station will be open on Friday, Dec. 23, closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Monday, Dec. 26, and will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 27. Those facilities will also be closed Monday, Jan. 2, and will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
Other closings:
• All Henderson County local government offices and agencies, the public library and its branches and the Henderson County Courthouse will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Dec. 26. County offices will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, Dec. 27. These offices will also be closed on Monday, Jan. 2, in observance of New Year’s.
• All branches of the Henderson County Public Library will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, and remain closed until Tuesday, Dec. 27, when they will reopen under regular hours. All branches will again be closed on Monday, Jan. 2, in observance of New Year’s.
• The Henderson County Visitors Center will be open on Friday, Dec. 23, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and open on Saturday, Dec. 24, from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Visitors Center will be closed on Christmas Day. It will reopen at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26. The Visitors Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and will be closed on New Year’s Day.
Henderson County parks are open 365 days a year. Delivery of emergency services will not be disrupted throughout the holidays.
