Sheriff, deputies to greet Mills River residents

Sheriff's deputies Scott Aly, Billy Brittain and Ricky Woodard are assigned fulltime to Mills River under a contract between the town and the sheriff's office.

MILLS RIVER — Henderson County Sheriff Charles McDonald will host a Town Hall meeting in Mills River from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

McDonald and his staff will provide an overview of the office of the Sheriff and deliver information regarding crime prevention tips and programs/resources the Sheriff’s Office provides to the community.
“Partnering with our community is one of the keys to our continued effectiveness as a Sheriff’s Office,” McDonald said. “We hope these town hall meetings will educate and inform residents on how they can get involved and contribute to the safety of their family and individual neighborhoods.”
Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with Sheriff’s Office personnel, including the deputies that are dedicated to Mills River as part of the town’s service contract. Mills River Town Council members are also expected to attend. The meeting is at the Mills River Town Hall, 124 Town Center Drive.
