Missing teen may be with felon from East Flat Rock

A teenager missing from her home in Buncombe County since last Thursday may be with an 18-year-old East Flat Rock man wanted on felony probation charges, the Asheville Citizen-Times reported.

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of Amanda Lucinda Rogers, 14, who was last seen at her home on North Turkey Creek Road in the early morning on Feb. 16. She is suspected to be with Marcus Quartez Young, 18. Henderson County has two arrest warrants for Young, who has been convicted of second-degree burglary, conspiracy second-degree burglary, larceny of a motor vehicle, and larceny after breaking and entering, according to the N.C. Department of Public Safety. He was sentenced to 18 months of probation in December 2015, the Asheville newspaper reported.

Rogers is a white female, 5’5”, 85 lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink sweatshirt with “PINK” in black letters; she had on either black leggings or jeans and brown boots. Anyone with information regarding Roger’s whereabouts was asked to contact the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office at 828-250-6670.
