Rainbow Pediatrics becomes part of Blue Ridge Health

Rainbow Pediatrics in Hendersonville has joined Blue Ridge Health in a move that broadens the pediatric practice's services and offers new payment options for families with high-deductible insurance plans.

“We have proudly served pediatric patients in this community for the last 16 years, but we’re confident this move makes sense for our patients,” said Rainbow Pediatrics physician James Horwitz. “Our practice still has the same great providers and staff, but now our patients and their families have access to the exceptional patient-centered services they need to build the medical home they deserve.”
The new Blue Ridge Health pediatric practice will provide primary care services under a universal, patient-centered model of care for pediatric patients in Henderson County. Patients will now have access to pediatric primary care, dental services, behavioral health, pharmacy, nutrition and more. Rainbow will still accept the same insurance plans, including private insurance and Medicaid. Patients with high deductible plans or no insurance can pay on a sliding scale based on family size and income.
“We couldn’t be happier about welcoming such a talented practice into our family,” said Dr. Richard Hudspeth, CEO and chif medical officer of Blue Ridge Health. “Whether families are looking for a more convenient patient-centered medical home or exploring ways to ease the burden of medical expenses, we encourage moms and dads to pay us a visit.”
The practice, at 110 Chadwick Square Court, will continue to make evening hours available. It is open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday with appointments available 8 a.m.-noon Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
