Felons sent to prison

District Attorney Greg Newman announced the following case dispositions from the recent Superior Court terms in Henderson and Transylvania Counties, May 1-5.

Henderson

  • William Edward English, of 25 North Holly Way, Fletcher, pleaded guilty to Obtaining Property by False Pretenses and Habitual Felon. English was sentenced to 105 months in prison.
  • Dakota Cruz Bass, of 2125 Pisgah Drive, Hendersonville, pleaded guilty to Larceny of a Firearm, Possession of Firearm by Felon, and Common Law Robbery. Bass was sentenced to a cumulative sentence of 71 months in prison.
  • David Alan Galloway, of 2100 North Mills River Road, Mills River, pleaded guilty to Possession of Methamphetamine and Flee / Elude Arrest with Motor Vehicle. Galloway was sentenced to 21 months in prison.
  • Frederick Payseur, of 4575 Parrishville Road, Hollywood, SC, pleaded guilty to Possession / Distribute Precursor for Controlled Substance. Payseur was sentenced to 17 months in prison.

Transylvania

  • Derrick Lane Bryson, of 133 Valley Mountain Road, Glenville, NC, pleaded guilty to Felony Flee / Elude Arrest with Motor Vehicle, Reckless Driving to Endanger, Fail to Heed Light or Siren, and No Operators License. Bryson was sentenced to 23 months in prison.

The Honorable Superior Court Judge Mark Powell presided.
