Sheriff's deputies make felony theft, drug arrests

Henderson County sheriff's deputies arrested a 31-year-old woman and 51-year-old man after responding to a report of a theft at a Dana home on Tuesday,

Charged were Jessica Garcia and Eddie Holloway, 51, of 110 Willowbrook Road. Deputies recovered all of the stolen property and returned it to the victim. Garcia was charged with one felony count of a Larceny of a Firearm, one felony count of Possession of Stolen Property, one felony count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and one count of misdemeanor Larceny.  She remains in the Henderson County Jail under a $25,000 bond. Holloway was charged with one felony count of Possession of Stolen Property.  He remains in the Henderson County jail under a $5,000 secured bond. 

In a separate case, detectives with the Henderson County Direct Enforcement Team with assistance from the Property Crimes Unit, executed a search warrant at 230 Elson Ave. that resulted in several felony drug charges on Jan. 11.

During the execution of the search warrant, detectives seized several individually packaged bags of methamphetamine and marijuana, Oxycodone pills, and drug paraphernalia to include packaging materials.

Larry Gene Cantrell, 56, of that address, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Cantrell was released from custody after posting a $21,300.00 bond.

Warrants for arrest were obtained after the search for Tina Marie Smith, 34, of the Elson Avenue address, for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Smith has not yet been taken into custody and if anyone has information on her whereabouts, please contact the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office at 828-697-4911.
