Transportation planners open survey on road projects

The French Broad River MPO has opened a survey on transportation projects that are currently being considered for funding through the State of North Carolina’s Prioritization Process.

The survey covers roadway projects as well as bike/ped and public transportation projects in Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, and Transylvania counties. Not all of these projects will be funded in the next few years so we are soliciting input from the public on which projects are most important to our region. Simply put: it’s time to pick some transportation projects and we want to hear from you. Your time and input is appreciated.

The images and descriptions shown in the survey are preliminary. Should the projects be selected for funding, designs will be developed by engineers through NCDOT that may differ from what is shown and described based on physical constraints, cost, further public input, and transportation engineering analyses.

The survey has been developed to allow you to focus on projects most important to you- feel free to skip those that are not (as there are a lot of projects). For Buncombe and Henderson roadway projects, there are two options for roadway projects: (1) a shorter version that allows users to pick projects from a list and (2) a longer version that allows users to rate projects one-by-one, so positive and negative responses can be collected.
