City hires sheriff's office media aide as first communications manager

Allison Nock is the new communications manager for the city of Hendersonville.

The city of Hendersonville has hired sheriff's office public information officer Allison Nock as communications manager, City Manager John Connet announced.

In the newly-created position Nock will work to ensure information about news, programs and services from city departments and elected officials is delivered efficiently and effectively to media organizations, employees and the public.

“The growth of our City and the evolving communication methods utilized by our residents prompted us to establish this position,” Connet said. “We believe the addition of Ms. Nock will continue to expand our civic engagement levels, transparency, and positive interactions with both residents and visitors.”

Nock comes to the City of Hendersonville after working as the community relations  media specialist for the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office for the past three years.
