Laurel Park named a 2018 Tree City

LAUREL PARK — The Arbor Day Foundation has named the town of Laurel Park a Tree City USA for its commitment to urban forest management.

The so-called "Town of the Mountain" achieved the honor by meeting the Tree City programs four requirements: a tree board or department, a tree case ordinance, an annual forestry budget of at least $2 per capita and an Arbor Day observance and proclamation.
