Charity event showcases 20 restaurants

Chefs at 20 independent restaurants will showcase their cuisine during the inaugural “Hunger and Thirst” Thursday, March 21, through Saturday, March 30, in Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Mills River, Fletcher and Chimney Rock.


Participating restaurants have created an impressive array of delicious food & drink specials at discounted pricing.
Participating restaurants include 305 Lounge & Eatery (new), Bold Rock Cidery and their Bold Bites Food Truck, Brooks Tavern, Cask and Wine on Main (new). The Esmeralda Inn and Restaurant, Flat Rock Wood Room, Flat Rock Village Bakery, Fletcher Village Bakery, The French Broad: A Kitchen & Wine Bar (new), Hannah Flanagan’s, Harvey’s at The Henderson, HenDough Chicken & Donuts, Mountain Deli, Never Blue, Old Orchard Tavern, The Poe House, Postero, Renzo’s Ristorante, Season’s at Highland Lake, and Shine (new).
Special events include Bold Rock Hard Cider’s Pints for Dandelion
on Monday, March 25, where $1 from every pint of Apple, Draft, or Pear Cider sold will be donated to non-profit Dandelion. As an added bonus, take advantage of Manic Monday and Steak Night specials at Bold Rock on the same day.
A portion of Hunger and Thirst proceeds will benefit Dandelion, the job-training cafe in downtown Hendersonville for Safelight, a nonprofit that assists victims of domestic violence.
