Deputies seek mother in parental abduction of 13-year-old daughter

Henderson County sheriff’s deputies are seeking a woman who they say abducted her 13-year-old daughter on Sunday and could be driving to Florida.

Investigators took out warrants charging Peggy Lee Cantrell with parental abduction, a felony, and violation of a domestic violence protective order. She is believed to be with her daughter, Abigail Lynn Cantrell, who is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 178lbs and has shoulder length brown hair and blue eyes. Abigail was last seen wearing blue jeans, a camouflage hoodie style shirt and multi-colored cowboy boots.

Peggy Cantrell is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 60 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. Peggy was last seen operating a bronze/goldfish colored vehicle, possible a Honda sedan with several bumper stickers on the rear of it. The sherifff's's office said Cantrell could be en route to Florida but possibly is in the Rutherford County area. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Abigail Cantrell and/or Peggy Lee Cantrell was asked to contact the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office at 828.697.4911
