Mother charged with abducting daughter

Henderson County sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman in Rutherford County on charges stemming from her abduction of her daughter on July 21, the sheriff's office said.

 

Charged was Peggy Lee Cantrell, who authorities said had abducted Abigail Lynn Cantrell. Investigators located Abigail in Rutherford County on July 29. They located her mother, also in Rutherford County.  She was jailed in the Henderson County Detention Facility under a $35,500 bond.
