KnollsCam captures rare daylight video of mother bobcat, kittens

Thomas Brass caught rare footage of a mother bobcat leading her babies on a tour of the woods at dawn recently. Brass's wildlife camera captures video of animals on top of Haywood Knolls.

"It is unusual that these kittens are out after daylight at this age," he says. "Baby bobcats are typically weaned off their mother's milk between three to four months old but continue to live in the den with their mothers until they are nine or ten months old. Mothers start to teach their babies how to hunt when they are about five months old. I would estimate these kittens to be about 3 to 4 months old."
