A gravestone company owner was charged with 24 counts of fraud after the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office investigated complaints that he sold monuments and never delivered them.
Investigators on Thursday arrested Darryl Keith McMahan, 54, of Custom Monument, 14 Heritage Park Drive, Fletcher, and charged him with 24 counts of obtaining property by false pretense. He was jailed in the Henderson County Detention Facility under a $192,000 bond. This is an ongoing investigation with more charges forthcoming.
