Rain postpones Jump Off Rock music festival to Sunday

LAUREL PARK — Rain postponed the Jump Off Rock Music Festival in Laurel Park for a second time on Saturday. It's set for Sunday starting at 4:30 under what forecasters predict will be sunny or partly sunny skies.

The forecast calls for a slight chance of showers with patchy fog early. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 80, the National Weather Service said. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the band Dashboard Blue will begin playing at 5 p.m. So, bring dancing shoes, friends, food and drinks (beer and wine are permitted) and a chair and join the fun. Watching the sun set over Mount Pisgah is an unforgettable experience. A shuttle service runs from the parking area to the park. Handicapped parking is available.
