NCSTA District Outstanding Science Teacher Awards are presented to recognize excellence in science teaching in North Carolina, to teachers who exemplify excellent, creative, and innovative teaching of science. This honor is determined by other science educators and serves as recognition of Mr. Savage’s professional excellence and contributions to science teaching and learning.
“Mr. Savage’s skills and content knowledge are of the highest caliber," Henderson County Early College High School principal Beth A. Caudle said. "His specialty, to teach about the world, enhances not only our high school science department, but that of other teachers from other schools and the college, and is also a major contributing factor to recommending Mr. Savage.”
