Drug dealers get prison time

Drug dealers received prison sentences in a Dec. 18-20 term of Superior Court in Henderson County with Judge Peter Knight presiding, District Attorney Greg Newman announced.

 

The cases were:

  • Bruce A. Allen, of 1619 Fruitland Rd, Hendersonville, pleaded guilty of felony possession of cocaine. Allen was sentenced to 8-19 months in prison.
  • Clifford O. Case Jr., of 143 Gilliam Mountain Rd, Hendersonville, pleaded guilty to possess methamphetamine & habitual felon. Case was sentenced to 30-48 in prison.
  • Joshua S. Daves, of 2021 Arlington Place, East Flat Rock, pleaded guilty to assault by strangulation & possess schedule II narcotics. Daves was sentenced to 10-21 months in prison.
  • Robert S. Ellis, of 604 Willow Rd, Hendersonville, pleaded guilty to possess drug paraphernalia. Ellis was sentenced to 120 days confinement.
  • Quavian L. Fisher, of 116-B Spruce Lane, Asheville, pleaded guilty to larceny by trick. Fisher was sentenced to 45 days confinement.
  • Mark A. Honeycutt, of 153 R&R Hyder Lane, Hendersonville, pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice. Honeycutt was sentenced to 12-24 months in prison.
  • Heather L. Sams, of 200 S. Carolina Ave, Hendersonville, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery w/ dangerous weapon, possess firearm by felon, possess schedule II narcotics and break and/or enter. Sams was ordered to pay $8,345 in restitution to victims and sentenced to 36-56 months in prison.
  • Thomas L. Penn, 111 Belmont Drive, Hendersonville, pleaded guilty to possess drug paraphernalia. Penn was sentenced to 120 confinement.
  • Davonte G. Redfern, of 9 Fox Hollow Court, Arden, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter & conspire to deliver schedule II narcotics. Redfern was sentenced to 73-100 months in prison.
  • Daniel C. Reynolds, of 6 Mountain Oaks Road, Fletcher, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute marijuana, contributing to delinquency of a juvenile, driving while license revoked, flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle, two counts of attempted break/enter building, conspiracy break/enter building; six counts of felony larceny; four counts of break and/or enter; and three counts of larceny after breaking and entering. Reynolds was ordered to pay $6,820 restitution to victims and sentenced to 20-42 months in prison.
  • William E. Laughter, of 915 N. Lakeside Drive, Hendersonville, pleaded guilty to four counts of possess methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for trafficking and possessession of drug paraphernalia. Laughter was ordered to pay a $50,000 fine and sentenced to 70-93 months in prison.
