Planet Fitness latest gym to close

Exercise, they say, is a good way to stay in good health and reduce stress. The amended prescription might be: Take it outside.

In response to the government containment effort, Planet Fitness on Spartanburg Highway told members Thursday that it is temporarily closed, joining the YMCA and some other gyms. Planet Fitness said it would credit members for closed days on the next billing once it reopened.

"We continue to monitor the situation closely and will reopen as soon as permitted," the fitness center said.
