The number of covid-19 cases approached 200 and the death toll reached 20, the Henderson County Public Health Department reported on its coronavirus web page on Friday.
The number of cases rose to 194, one day after a jump of 30. Additional testing at a long-term care facility with a previously known coronavirus outbreak accounted for the increase of cases to 192 on Thursday.
"The increase in cases today mainly result from additional testing affiliated with a known LTCF (long-term care facility) outbreak," Public Health Department spokeswoman Jodi Grabowski Thursday. "If we have a new LTCF outbreak, we will announce it."
