Daniel Andreotta was sworn into a seat on the Henderson County Board of Commisioners Monday, four days after the county Republican Party's executive committee sent the nomination to the elected board. He took his place as the District 2 representative during the board's regular meeting, filling the seat left vacant by the passing of Charlie Messer.
Andreotta was selected to finish the term of the late Messer by the Henderson County Republican Party's executive committee July 30. Under state law, the board of commisioners was required to appoint the executive committee's selection. Andreotta's name also goes to the Henderson County Board of Elections and he will appear on the ballot in November.
