Suspect charged with Hawthorn Hills burglaries

Christopher Lamar Victoria is charged with a series of burglaries and vehicle break-ins in Hawthorn Hills.

Henderson County sheriff’s deputies charged a Greenville, South Carolina, man with nine counts of theft, breaking and entering and safe cracking after responding to a report of a burglary in progress in Hawthorn Hills on Brevard Road.

 

While approaching the area on the morning of Nov. 4 officers were also notified of a larceny of a work truck that had just occurred from the same area. Officers arriving in the area spotted the stolen vehicle traveling east on U.S. 64 toward Laurel Park. Officers attempted a traffic stop at which point the subject jumped from the vehicle and ran.
While officers were investigating these two incidents multiple other incidents were reported in Hawthorn Hills. During the investigation Henderson County Sheriff’s Office detectives were able to determine the suspect to be Christopher Lamar Victoria and warrants for his arrest were obtained.

Following an extensive search conducted with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal's Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Greenville Police Department, Victoria was apprehended in Greenville and taken into custody. He is charged with three counts of first degree burglary, larceny of a motor vehicle, two counts of breaking & entering into a motor vehicle, safecracking and two counts of larceny. Victoria is being held in the Greenville County Detention awaiting extradition to Henderson County.
