Kenneth Jay Vaughn Jr, 73

Kenneth Jay Vaughn Jr, 73 of East Flat Rock, NC passed away Monday February 16, 2015 at the
Brain Center.
He was born and raised in the Hazelton, PA and had lived in Henderson County since 1891.
He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Jay Vaughn SR,a daughter, Kathlene Vaughn
and a son, Garland Heatherly,
Ken loved to camp, he and his wife owned and operated Mountain Camper Sales in Hendersonville
and he drove a school bus for North Henderson High School.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Doris Elizabeth Vaughn, three sons, Kenneth Jay
Vaughn III and his wife Shane, Charles Heatherly JR and his wife Kirsten and Butch Heatherly
and his wife Jennifer; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, his mother Cleo Vaughn of
Hendersonville, three brothers, David, Brain and Vernon Vaughn and many nieces, nephews and
friends.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Fletcher Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Ivan Blake officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
