Magoline Sally Gaddy Newman, 97

Magoline Sally Gaddy Newman, 97 of Hendersonville, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Carillon Assisted Living. Born in Burnsville, NC she was a daughter of the late William and Rose Hensley Gaddy. She retired from Magnavox and was a member of Refuge Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vance Newman.

Surviving is a son William “Bill” Newman; granddaughter Vanessa Moffitt and her husband Dennis; sisters Emma Lou Morrow, Dot Gosnell, Peggy Smith and her husband Wayne, and June Gaddy Cawthorn and her Husband, Eugene; brother Larry Gaddy; five great grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Friday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Dan Blackwell will officiate. At other times, the family will be at the residence on Chestnut Gap Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
