He served in the Army during World War II. He later worked for Morse Chain and Motorola. In 1954 he moved his family to Phoenix, Arizona and then to Scottsdale, AZ where he lived for many years. Howard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was a family oriented gentle man that made friends wherever he went. He was eternally curious and loved people and life.
Howard was married for 59 years to Frances Potter and was so fortunate to share his last 6 years with his loving companion, Drew Schultz. He is survived by his three children: Kathy (Larry) Vorbrich of Hendersonville, David (Ann) of Goodyear, AZ and Mary Elizabeth (Louis) St. Germain of Forest Lakes, AZ.
