Glennard Harvey Corn

Glennard Harvey Corn, 98, of Hendersonville, died on Friday, Sept.r 6, 2013 at Cherry Springs Village.

A native and lifelong resident of Hendersonville, he was born on Dec. 7, 1914, to the late Samuel Lee Corn and Lilly May McCarson Corn. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Inez Owen Corn who died in 2003.

He worked for the Ecusta Corporation for 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church, Hendersonville and attended Mud Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Larry C. Corn and his wife, Malinda of Hendersonville; his daughter, Barbara Corn Roberts and her husband, Lawton of Snellville, GA; one grandchild, Brandy Roberts Bailey and her husband, Shane; two great-grandchildren, Kaylee Ann and Trystin Bailey; his sister, Helen Corn Jaramillo of Hendersonville and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel with Rev. Kenny Corn officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the funeral home.
