Marvin Kenneth Cairnes Sr., 61

Marvin Kenneth Cairnes Sr., 61, of Dana passed away, Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at the Elizabeth House.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County and was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Vernon Cairnes Sr. and Mary Branks Searcy, two brothers, Joe Branks and Jack Cairnes and a sister, Lula Barrett.

He was a truck driver and a "man of all trades".

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Judy Rhodes Cairnes; two sons and their spouses, Kenny and Terry Lynn Cairnes of Roan Mountain, Tenn., and Marvin and Tanya Cairnes ; three daughters and their spouses, Kathy and Wayne Sinclair, Crystal and Bobby Corn and Shelby Cairnes and her fiancé Kevin all of Hendersonville; 12 grandchildren, Cole, Natalie, Tequilia, Marvin II "Spud", Julia, Karina, Sydney, Jayden, Jessie, Charlie, Margie and Jonnie; 2 great grandchildren, Skyler and Leland (on the way); a brother, Charles V. Cairnes Jr.; two sisters and their spouses, Pat and Dale Anders and Maryhelen and Henry McElory and several nieces, nephews family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m.. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at the Chapel In The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel and at other times will be at the home.
