Marian S. Hines, 92

Marian S. Hines, 92, of Laurel Park passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at McCalls Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC after a short illness.

Mrs. Hines was a registered nurse, served in the US Army during WW II during which she was awarded the Bronze Star during the Siege of Manila.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manley S. Hines and her parents.

She is survived by three sons, Pat Hines of Travelers Rest, SC, William Hines of Easley, SC, and David Hines of Lilburn, GA; a daughter, Marian Hines Rogers of Lake Lanier, GA; two grandsons and two granddaughters.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at the Chapel In The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Creatures Great and Small or to The Wounded Warrior Program.
