Lois Shepherd Moody, 97

Lois Shepherd Moody, 97, of Hendersonville passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Elizabeth House.

A lifelong resident of Henderson County, Lois was the daughter of Jess Manders and Allie Dotson Shepherd and the wife of the late L. Kenneth Moody who died in 1983. She was a longtime member of Mud Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister Marian and three brothers Brooks, Guy and Gene.

She is survived by one daughter, Annette and husband Bill Pace of Hendersonville; a son Ken and wife Susan Moody of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

We will miss our "Mamaw".

A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Shepherd Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Greg Mathis.

Memorials may be directed to Mud Creek Baptist Church Building fund or Wounded Warriors Fund.
